We get "The Weekly Times" every week. I have not seen any letters in from Thoona, so I thought I would write. "We spent a very happy Christmas. It is very hot up here. We have 51 chickens this year and 5 pigs. I have four brothers and one sister. Her name is Edle. My father manages the factory. Our garden looked nice this spring, but it is dried up now, and everything is dead. I am stopping with my auntie now. I have a little cousin. There are lovely water falls up here, and a lot of maidenhair fern. I am in the fifth class at school. I must now conclude, with love to Uncle Ben, Cousins Florrie and Connie, and not forgetting yourself. I remain,— Your loving niece, Lily Griffiths (age 12 years).
